How fees work
What dentures cost depends on the type, the number of visits and your plan. Here is how we handle each part, and what we put in writing.
If you pay yourself
Without dental insurance you pay the fee for your treatment, and we tell you what it is before anything starts. Ask the front desk about payment options. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

An estimate in advance
We give a written estimate in advance to anyone paying without insurance, and to anyone who asks. It lists each step of the treatment, the visits it takes and what it will cost, and you can take it home before you decide.

Insurance we work with
We bill dental plans and file the claim for you. Whether we are in network depends on your plan, so call us and we will tell you before you book.
Dental PPO and indemnity plans: we file the claim
Dental HMO (DHMO) plans: ask us, they work differently
Medi-Cal Dental: call us and we will answer plainly
Original Medicare: usually does not pay for dentures
Medicare Advantage plans with dental benefits: we check your plan
Checking your benefits
Before your first visit, Nahomi at our front desk checks what your plan says it covers for dentures and tells you. Many plans limit how often they pay for dentures or make you wait before they pay, so we look for both. If the plan's own estimate differs from ours, we show you both.
Receipts for reimbursement
If you pay us and your plan reimburses you, we give you an itemized statement to send to the plan. What the plan pays back is the plan's decision.
What the first visit includes
About an hour: an exam, X-rays only if the dentist decides you need them, time to see the denture types on a model, and a written plan with an estimate. Bring your plan's card, a photo ID, a list of your medicines and any denture you wear now.

A written plan and estimate
A written estimate says what we expect to bill. If your plan's final payment is different, we explain the difference before you pay.
Questions about paying
How do I get a written estimate?
Ask when you book or at your visit. After the exam the dentist lists the treatment, the visits it takes and what it will cost, and our patient coordinator goes through your benefits with you.
What if my plan pays less than the estimate?
A plan's estimate is the plan's, not ours. If its final payment is different, we explain the difference before you pay and go over your options.
Do you offer financing?
Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender. Ask the front desk for the lender's own terms before you decide.
