FAQ

Common questions, clear answers

Everything you need to know about our practice, dentures and what to expect.

Do you take my insurance?

We bill dental plans and file the claim for you. Whether we are in network depends on your plan, so call us before you book and we will tell you. Our How fees work page lists the plan types.

What if I do not have insurance?

You pay for treatment yourself, and we give you a written estimate before anything starts. Ask the front desk about payment options. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

Do you accept Medi-Cal Dental?

Call us before you book and we will tell you plainly whether we take your plan.

Will it hurt?

We numb the area before we work on it, and you can ask for a break at any time. Sore spots are common in the first days with a new denture, and we adjust it to ease them. We cannot promise you will feel nothing.

How long does it take to get dentures?

Usually several visits over a few weeks: impressions, fittings and the final fit, with adjustments after. Your dentist gives you a range after the exam.

How do I care for my denture?

Clean it every day with a soft brush and a cleaner made for dentures, take it out at night if your dentist says to, and bring it to your checkups. We give you instructions in writing.

How often do I need X-rays and a cleaning?

Your dentist decides, based on your mouth and your health. Tell us if you wear a denture, and we check its fit at every visit.

Do you see children?

Our dentists focus on adults and older adults. If your child needs a dentist, call us and we will refer you to one.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Trouble breathing or swallowing, or swelling in your face or neck: call 911 first. A broken denture, a cracked tooth or a toothache that can't wait: call us and we will tell you what we can do today.

Do you offer sedation?

We do not offer sedation at our office. We use numbing medicine, and if you need more than that, we refer you to a dentist who does and explain why.

Do you speak Spanish?

Dr. Escobedo and our patient coordinator, Nahomi Deleon, speak Spanish. This website and our forms are in English and Spanish.

How do I cancel or change a visit?

Call us or send a message through the contact form as early as you can, and we will find a new time.

Still have questions?

Our team is happy to answer them. Reach out and we will get back to you within one business day.
